i took some time today to work on my dear friend Gazpacchio's birthday gift! i've always wanted to draw his fursona Gaznuki (who's like the cutest thing ever <3), and now that i've started drawing furries, it was a great opportunity to do it :)

of course, now that i've got my fursona, it's even funnier to draw a pic with both of them :p

time to put some colors now!

as i've never really drawn animals in the past, trying to do some furry-art is kind of a huge challenge for me. still, that's something i've been wanting to try for years, so i've been training a bit everyday and feel ready to share a bit of this training now :)

quick digital penciling before correcting the drawing by hand. usually i just draw everything on paper but not being home with my drawing table and stuff, i find it easier to use the computer for once :)

the script is ready, the main characters are too, all i needed then was to actually start drawing my little comic and it's now done :)

4 pages have been penciled so far and i'm slowly getting used to penciling using my best friend's computer!

i'll post more details about the actual comic (title and stuff) when i feel it's the right time. until then, i'll focus on drawing ;)

the exams at university are still far to be over (the final two weeks are coming, starting on friday), but having a couple of free days i thought it was time for me to go back to some drawings and go on working on that comic of mine i've been postponing because of my studies and other personal stuff.

anyway, it's been a while since the last time i could draw my dear Kenta here! it feels good to have him back with me so we can finally go on our story :')

i had actually drawn that one quite a long time ago (in june 2010), but i hadn't been able to find a way to put some colors on it that i'd like, and i just gave up on it until this morning :)

i really wanted to work on my way to color, especially because -being a huge fan- i've always wanted to have a more "Mary Blair" style. and as this little thingy was waiting in my old files, i decided to start practicing with it :p

quite a long time since my last update, but had so much work it's been pretty hard...

i've just finished penciling my illustration for "Bears Illustrated 2011", a free 2011 calendar! i'm so proud of this opportunity (and a lot because one of my absolute favourite artists of all time is working on it too!) and so happy i had my favourite month of the year: October!

as i seriously need to progress, i've decided it was time for me to train everyday! so i'm starting a (hopefully) daily series of quick Bear drawings and i'll try to both stick to the daily ritual AND have as much fun as possible with this training :)

to start the series, i just thought i could try a very simple quickie inked with a pen brush. and i kind of immediately thought about one of the cutest men ever to be my first model *blushes*
